Me…

Well hello there!

It seems you have stumbled across my humble little blog and it only seems right to tell you a bit about myself. I am your very typical twenty-something girl/woman (I never know which to use) living and studying in the not so sunny Netherlands (Although I’m English born and bred).

This blog started a few years ago as a kind of boredom project but now it seems like an excellent place to document the trials and tribulations of being young and living in a foreign land. I’ve got huuuundreds of post so if boredom ever hits you’ll find my first post ever here and you can pretty much work your way up from there (you will need a brew to keep you company though).

So shoes off, feet up and get reading!

Love, Robyn.

  5. Thank you so much for liking my poem Doololly Duet on my blog WordMusic. I appreciate it so greatly. It warms my heart to get such acceptance from so far away. Blogs are shrinking the world!

  6. Hey, Robyn, thanks for stopping in! Ah, those were the days. Remember, maturity doesn’t mean you have to grow up. Have a great time in Germany, and make the most of it–language, food, fun…

  7. Robyn, interesting blog. It sounds like you are having a wonderful time in Germany, exploring, finding out about the people there, their culture and also more about yourself. Have fun and enjoy the differences and similarities, the food, and the diverse experiences.

  8. Robyn, I also wanted to thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog. I look forward to reading about your journey in Germany. It can be difficult getting out there on your own, especially in a different country, but you become stronger and wiser in the end, trusting your own instincts, and learning to stand on your own two feet, as well as reaching out to friends and family. There are times when everyone needs a little help.

  10. Wow! What a ride! 19 and living as an au-pair in Germany. I’ve heard lots of great things about that region of our great world. Since I’ve never been there I must rely on friends and bloggers, like you, to keep me abreast of the happenings! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

  12. Hi, thank you for reading some of my posts. I look forward to exploring your blog as you experience Germany. I enjoyed my time in Germany (even studied German for a little bit), so I will enjoy reading about your travels there. Kind of shy, not much to say you know, but sincerely appreciate your visits. Peace…

  13. Robyn – For no reason in particular and then again, for too many reasons to name – I like your writing very much! It’s like a river at the source, so fresh and new and excited about the journey to the sea. I’m looking rather closely at the sea these days – an ocean view, one could say – but I promise to refrain from advice dumps and longwinded, gratuitous guidance.

    1. Aw that’s so sweet! I always struggle to get these awards completed because I have to use the terrible WordPress App on IPad which for some reason isn’t that great, so i don’t post it, I’m not being mean or boring, I probably just don’t have the technology xx
